As mentioned on the main page, Bulova started producing crystal and hand kits for early dealer conversion. There is a lot of debate over what constitutes a "factory spaceview". Personally, I am okay with a "factory correct spaceview" as these were available from dealers. That being said, there were a limited number of models designated for conversion. Pictured is a "Factory correct spaceview" based on a 14kt case, style 2304. (Photo courtesy of Chris Akin) The earliest spaceview models were only available in 14kt and 18kt models.
One of the earliest factory spaceviews is known as the Spaceview "B", the only early stainless model. These started production in 1962 and used a yellow dotted crystal and yellow lance hour/minute hands with a "fils" style yellow sweep. Based on case style 2362 (Photo courtesy of Chris Akin) . A similar variant called the spaceview "C" was also produced using this case but used white luminous lance hands and a luminous dotted crystal.
Bulova added a couple of chapter ring models to the spaceview lineup. At left is a 1966 spaceview "G" based on case style 2528 (Photo courtesy of Eric Olsen). These used a reflector ring rather than markings on the crystal for minutes and seconds, They also used the longer white luminous "spear" hands. A similar gold filled version based on case styles 2531 and 3396 were also available.
Bulova added more chapter ring models to the spaceview lineup. At right is a 1974 spaceview 3352 (Photo courtesy of Eric Olsen). These later styles also used a reflector ring but typically had the square whites hands and orange pylon sweep.
