The Swiss Accutron 214's used different case styles than the US counterparts. Swiss Accutron cases were the first to use the separate dial and reflector ring. Taking a cue from the USA marketing, The first Swiss Spaceview was based on the 316 case, the dial was removed and a printed crystal was added. These early 316-1 and 316-7 spaceviews used case colored luminous hands. Pictured is an early 316-1 Swiss factory spaceview.
Later Swiss designs incorporated a wider reflector ring and used white luminous "Forchet" style hour/minute hands wilth a bright orange sweep. This became the the basis for the later Swiss designed spaceviews. Pictured is a 1970 case style 891 stainless steel Swiss spaceview. . (Photo courtesy of Edgar Allen)
In 1969 Bulova released the spaceview "T" and marketed it in both the US and Europe. The design is Swiss and becomes the basis for all of the remaining Swiss spaceviews with some slight design changes. Pictured is a later 1973 Swiss 7323 stainless spaceview (courtesy of Gaetano Fortunato) that clearly takes it's design elements from the "T" while at the same time being a unique and beautiful design.
